The luxury SS 2018 collection by Stella McCartney is certainly not quiet, but on the contrary, it practically shouts STYLE, EXTRAVAGANCE and UNIQUENESS at you. The models are beautiful and simple, but also very sophisticated, so you fall in love with them at first glance.
Stella was always heavily criticised that her fashion is not ambitious enough and is too simple. However, one must look at other collections and realise that her fashion is very luxurious and interesting. The complex simplicity she offers may be uninteresting on the runway, but it is very desirable in real life. And that is her greatest victory!
If any of you loves subtle style, then you will love these luxurious ruffle details. They are used to embellish dresses, coats and also blouses.
However, her clothing is not just simple, the collection uses plenty of distinctive colours, such as green, purple, red and also combinations of various patterns, which look interesting. We like the patterned dresses or the oversize coats and dresses. The denim items are very interesting because the material only looks like denim, but isn’t actually denim. Only the pattern in various colours is used. Neon pink, green, blue and yellow. Exactly what we will appreciate in spring and in summer.
Stella continues to uphold her commitment that it is better to use faux fur in fashion. She has used it in her handbags, bags and also shoes for years. But this time she has used a luxurious material, which she has called “Skin-free-skin”. Her denim and luxury leopard application on dresses is an example.
Star designer Stella McCartney has convinced us yet again of her practicality. I personally admire designers who have kept their feet on the ground. I enjoy her shows, where you can see that her clothing can be worn by normal people. And this is exactly what Stella presented.
First of all I have to say I fell in love with her one-shoulder, baggy sweaters, giving the impression of comfort and sexy elegance at the same time. Her white dress, as a long, one-shoulder sweater again, is probably the absolute best of all her items! Not only can it be worn anywhere, but expectant mothers can wear it during pregnancy.
But I’m certainly not just praising her sweaters. I also liked the long-sleeved tight black top, which reminded me of the dress worn by Rita Hayworth in the nineteen forties. It was absolutely perfect in combination with a slightly transparent modern skirt with leopard pattern!
