The Wedding Trade Fair was held on Friday 19 January and Saturday 20 January 2018 at the FAIT GALLERY and the Vaňkovka Shopping Gallery in Brno. Excellent moderator Eva Decastelo accompanied brides, grooms, bridesmaids and parents through the trade fair and we have to say that it was an excellent show. Particularly because some absolutely breath-taking wedding dresses could be seen!

A fashion show of deluxe wedding and formal dresses

As well as decorations and accessories, visitors to the trade fair could also see swimsuits, deluxe underwear, men’s fashion and of course the highly anticipated wedding and formal dresses. The popular designer duo Nikol and Jakub PONER, Brno designer MK – Miroslav Michael Knot, Israeli designer of deluxe wedding dresses Galia Lahav (comment: Monika Babišova was also married in a dress by her) and new collections from the best wedding salons could be seen. Quite a few well-known bloggers walked the runway, but the biggest star was Nikol Moravcová, who is engaged. She was an inspiration to many brides when se talked about how her wedding preparations are going.

Everyone looked forward to Osmany Laffita’s collection

Osmany Laffita was supposed to reveal his collection of dresses at the Wedding Trade Fair in Brno, but he cancelled his attendance at the last minute. Organisers replaced him with Israeli fashion designer Galia Lahav, whose dresses are true masterpieces and most visitors were unable to tear their eyes away from how beautiful and detailed they were. And no wonder, when they were presented by the beautiful Miss Slovakia 2017 Hana Závodná and Miss Czech Republic 2014 Gabriela Franková.

MK - Miroslav Michael Knot and his dresses for modern and perhaps untraditional brides

Experienced and unique fashion designer Miroslav Michael Knot also presented wonderful dresses at the Trade Fair. Most of them were embellished with beautiful flowers, which were either colourful or made from white lace and beautifully complemented the style and silhouette of the wedding dress. Every bride appreciates how airy and luxurious all his dresses are.

A feeling for details – that is PONER

We always expect wedding dresses by the PONER siblings to be detailed, because this is typical for their brand. The dainty flowers embellishing their deluxe wedding dresses are beautiful, adorable and, most importantly, irresistible. Whether they conceal the décolletage or simply embellish the skirt, they certainly give them flair.

Nothing new under the sun

In my opinion the Wedding Trade Fair in Brno is a sort of weak effort to make social events in the South Moravian Region a little more interesting. Nikol Moravcová looked very good at the event and I am sure that she cleverly (in advance) arranged a wedding dress for her D-day free of charge. She is a shrewd woman.....

As I understood it, the Poner siblings dominated the trade fair. I don’t really understand what this Poner mania is about, but when looking at their wedding dresses, which were photographed truly excellently by the way, there seems to be something off. Do you know what it is? I can clearly see that they are basically cheap imitations of wedding dresses from the Zuhair Murad, Marchesa or Oscar de la Renta workshops. It’s quite sad when you can see that there is basically nothing new or original at a Czech trade fair.

And this is why I would recommend that you don’t visit such events in the future. Simply read Luxury Prague Life and you will know what the BEST of the BEST is!
