A new record in the number of Covid-19 infections in the Czech Republic
For the second day in a row, the Czech Republic managed to break a record in the number of coronavirus infections. Another 5,335 people were infected on Wednesday. That is more than 800 more than on Tuesday. The number of deaths has also increased. Another 19 people succumbed to the disease on Wednesday. Women rule the world
For the first time in history, the World Trade Organization (WTO) will be headed by a woman! A specific name is not yet known, but rumour has it that two candidates progressed to the last round. These are South Korean Trade Minister Ju Mjong-hi and former Nigerian Finance Minister Ngozi Okonj-Iweal.
The new boss will have to face challenges such as growing trade tensions between the USA and China. The WTO is also currently facing the biggest crisis in its history.
There was a decline in construction in the Czech Republic in August
Construction output fell by 9.7 percent in August compared to the previous year. In comparison with previous months, it was lower by 1.4 percent after elimination of seasonal effects. Petra Cuřínová, Head of the Construction and Housing Statistics Department of the Czech Statistical Office, added:
"In August, construction output continued to decline year-on-year in both structural and civil engineering. The indicative value of building permits and the number of started and completed dwellings also decreased."
Despite the fact that in August, building authorities issued 3 percent more building permits than last year, their indicative value fell by 12 percent. Year-on-year, 3 percent fewer dwellings were started, and 1.7 percent fewer dwellings were completed.

Justin Bieber has announced a collaboration with Crocs
Some love them, others can't stand them. No matter which group you belong to, you probably know the legendary Crocs shoes. And now Justin Bieber has started a collaboration with them.
It's supposed to be inspired by Bieber's brand Drew house. It will include both classic clog shoes (canary yellow) and eight different badges (from a rainbow through flowers to the Drew house logo). The product line should be launched on October 13.
And we are mighty curious if the collaboration will be a success! Because since Justin dropped a hint about it on his Instagram in late September, Crocs shares have jumped 11 percent.
