The latest S/S 18 collection of wedding gowns by designer Jenny Packham consists of thirty-five stunning dresses which literally take your breath away. Most of them are embellished with delicate or bold crystals, in which you will stand out.
Do you want to be beautiful on your special day, and make everybody’s jaws drop when you walk down the aisle to the altar? You are sure to succeed in a stunning and luxurious dress by designer Jenny Packham. Forget about the classics and get ready for a dress that shines like the brightest diamond. In fact, that is just how you will feel in it, and the feeling is indescribable.
Whether you want to look like a princess, a forest fairy or a frail romantic, you are sure to choose from the thirty-five gowns offered in the collection. Some are made of delicate pure fabrics, tastefully embellished with beautiful stones. There is also an originally decorated chiffon gown in which you will glitter luxuriously. But the most beautiful of all is the combination of fine fabric, stones and lace, which looks like a gown for a princess. It is slinky, but also has a full skirt.
Trends have been changing recently, and you don’t necessarily have to wear a classic dress. This is why Jenny presented an unbelievable, beautiful and bold red dress in her S/S 18 collection, which is the perfect choice for a modern bride. It too is dominated by delicate lace and glitter, with the addition of fine feathers to create a luxurious skirt.
After seeing the Jenny Packham wedding collection, I’ve decided that this designer should focus exclusively on weddings. Finally, I see something other than tonnes of brown, grey, khaki and unflattering cuts, starting with jackets.
I’ve already had my wedding, but nevertheless I would choose from those dresses (even for a church wedding, which we didn’t have). I like clean lines and long trains, so all those mini gowns a la “let’s get married at Elvis’s chapel” go right by me.
The absolute hit for me is the gown with the deep neckline embellished with crystals, where the decorated hem starts on the shoulders and goes all the way down the back around the waist. The skirt is so loose that the bride will feel unbound and free even after she says yes. They also look very comfortable and wearable all day, which I consider a major plus. If there is one thing I hate, it’s when the bride changes practically into a sweat-suit immediately after the ceremony, thus ruining the festive atmosphere of the day.
