Unchained Slovakia

It looks like Slovak designers decided to stir up the stagnant waters of the Czech fashion pond at all costs. Hard as you might try, you won't find minimalism, sophisticated elegance or neutral shades in their new FW20-SS21 collections. After the controversial Dominica Kozáková, the young designer Lukáš Krnáč takes the stage, and he shows even less moderation!

Show a bit of skin in the autumn

Right at the outset, I'd like to mention that this collection of Lukáš Krnáč is sexy and hot like no other. This is probably the most flesh we've seen in any of his collections. Why is that? He looked to burlesque performers for inspiration!

In the spirit of burlesque art

The main star of his show was burlesque performer Terézia Bělčáková. The whole show was in the spirit of this artform, and the young designer told us more aout the preparation of his collection.

"My inspiration for this show was burlesque, namely specific performers, for whom I was creating costumes,"

Lukáš Krnáč told us about the new collection.

Channeling The Simpsons?

We're not entirely sure what Lukáš Krnáč wanted to convey with this look, but we feel he might have been channeling the Simpsons. The series may be quite funny, but this model almost made us cry. Green, blue, yellow, red? We feel like our eyes are bleeding.

Fast and furious... to the west

What we enjoy a lot, on the other hand, is this sexy biker jumpsuit that easily appear in a sequel of the blockbuster Fast and Furious. It has zero functionality, but maximum flair. A perfect stage look that will get you likes on Instagram! Are you itching to get one for your wardrobe?

These two models of sexy gunslingers are a feast for the eyes, too. It's like going back in time to the Wild West. Absoutely flawless!

The Wild West in the third millennium

After the dull gray and black gloom, we're in for yet another out-of-this-world collection. Yesterday, I was spooked by Dominika Kozáková's collection, and I will most likely be in shock for the rest of today, too, because the fashion show of Slovak designer Lukáš Krnáč hinted pretty heavily that either I'm really old, or I should start taking drugs.

The designer is, like Dominika, from Slovakia. Apparently, the country is a real cradle of creative souls... Krnáč probably fell in love with The Simpsons, aliens and Xena. All those things have passed through my generation, too, but thank God, they haven't left any mark on me.

Krnáč claims that he likes irony and caricature and enjoys making fun of the things he creates. Maybe that's why I take this whole collection as one big, pretty lame joke. I might think back to his models on Halloween or at a masquerade balls party, but let's be real here, how many people have you seen walking down the street in these? Or in a supermarket, at work or - God forbid - in a restaurant?

Pink alien

I don't even know what this reminds me of. Probably nothing. In my opinion, this chick did the "Can't run away from colors" marathon. The bra seems to be made for running, and she put on the long-sleeved turtleneck so as to prevent getting an unsightly tan. The panties probably belong to her grandmother and she must have stolen the gun from her nephew, who already knows he should have been born as a girl. The only positive thing about this model are the transparent boots. They may be a horrible choice of footwear for a marathon, but the idea is great and they look great on bare legs. This isn't the first time I've seen them, though...

Blue and green don't make good friends

That's what my grandmother taught me. These two colors just don't go together. Only Marge Simpson can pull that off, no one else. Marge is iconic with her blue hairdo that almost reaches the ceiling. I'm starting to suspect Krnáč from plagiarism...

Sexy gunslinger

I must say that I quite like this model. The colors are original, not not too bold. The stylish cowboy had paired with a face mask is quite fitting for the time we live in. Seniors tend to wear these gloves, too, at least in public transport. This girl can be sure she won't catch Covid in the Prague metro. And if I were a guy, I certainly wouldn't mind meeting such a gunslinger.

Although I appreciate when young talents do something productive instead of getting into drugs, stealing in shops and being generally lazy, these would-be designers are simply not my thing. Maybe they should invest their energy into something more meaningful and design, for example, colorful children's cancer wards in hospitals...
