The history of Dada began long ago, in 1926, when Angelo Garavaglia established a small woodworking workshop. At that time, he certainly had no idea that the name of his company would be known across continents and that it would be one of the most prestigious brands in the production of luxury kitchens.
However, the Dada brand was created somewhat later. Angelo had two sons who joined their father in the 1950s and jointly established a furniture factory. It traditionally bore the family name of Angelo Garavaglia and Sons.
The birth of the exclusive Dada brand
Very quickly, the family company profiled into a successful brand and became famous for its quality products. In 1972, the new DADA brand was created, which focused on the production of high quality kitchen furniture.
In 1979, Dada joined the group led by Luigi Molteni and soon built its name in the world of luxury kitchens. The brand has always worked with leading architects and designers. Examples include Angelo Cortesi, Georges Coslin, John Offredi, or popular photographer Gabriele Basilico. The creative director of Dada is Belgian architect and curator Vincent Van Duysen.
A stellar collaboration with the Armani brand
In 2008, Dada created a partnership with the famous Armani Casa brand. Under the brand name Armani/Dada, they have become leaders in the exclusive kitchen sector on a global scale. We saw the results of this star connection at the furniture and design fair in Milan and in our gallery we bring you a taste of a true synonym for the word luxury! Marble, wood, clean lines, perfect colour matching in gray tones, unique shapes, first class quality – that's Armani/Dada!
Elegant kitchens and sophisticated systems
At its exposition, Dada presented a kitchen in the form of an island in the middle of the room. It was already presented two years ago, yet it still captivates with its practicality and luxury design. The back-lit system of glass shelves on the wall is very elegant. We also appreciated the new kitchen with a majestic marble slab on thin metal legs that will appear on the market this May. In addition to this, there was also a new kitchen named Prime with a stone countertop and a kitchen with a massive oak countertop. Novelties included the Fare shelf system (in our gallery).
Do you want to change the appearance of your kitchen in a flash? Dada presented a unique cover system for the kitchen counter. Two panels located on the sides of the counter open up like an accordion and elegantly cover everything. Visitors can only guess which room they are in!
