Changes to WhatsApp resulted in an outage of a competing application
The WhatsApp communication platform has announced to its two billion users their new conditions, which allow for user data to be shared with the parent company Facebook. While this doesn't apply to users in the UK and Europe, the announcement has been sent to everyone, strengthening competing free applications Telegram and Signal, which now reap the benefits of the huge wave of dissatisfaction caused by the updated terms.
The messaging company Signal has seen such a huge increase in interest that it faces technical difficulties as it tries to satisfy millions of new users. Some of them reported that messages could not be sent for several hours on both mobile and desktop applications. On their Twitter, Signal said that they had added new users at a record pace and were working to restore the service as quickly as possible.
Kobe Bryant's wife left a heartbreaking message
The first anniversary of the death of legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant is approaching. The 41-year-old NBA icon and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died on January 26, 2020 during an unfortunate helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, along with six other passengers and a pilot. Kobe, nicknamed Black Mamba, is survived by wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, Bianca and Capri.
"Grief is a messed-up cluster of emotions. One day you’re in the moment laughing and the next day you don’t feel like being alive. I want to say this for people struggling with grief and heartbreaking loss. Find your reason to live. I know it’s hard. I look at my daughters and I try to push through that feeling for them. Death is guaranteed but living the rest of the day isn’t. Find your reason,"
38-year-old Vanessa wrote on her social network on Friday night.
Over the past year, the crushed widow has shared many sincere tributes to Kobe and Gianna - on Father's Day, the basketball star's 42nd birthday and the 21st anniversary of the day they fell in love. She honored them even after Kobe's team, the Los Angeles Lakers, won the NBA 2020 finals.
