Early Bird: An overview of new measures. Barack Obama publishes his memoirs. The ear of Nintendo 3DS is over
Have a great Friday! The working week is over and we've no doubt that you're already looking forward to being able to relax and recharge your energy to face the next week. But before you get to that, take a look at the list of new anti-coronavirus measures you should be aware of. Singer Lucie Bílá suffered from coronavirus herself and this is what she thinks about it! Which part of Prague is ideal for entrepreneurs? Our Early Bird will tell you all that and more.
For the first time, over 3,000 people were infected in a day. Lucie Bílá fell ill, too
The Czech Republic has the most confirmed cases per day since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Their number climbed to 3130 yesterday. Two days ago, it was still a thousand less. As a result of the massive spread of the virus, the Ministry of Health is expanding the set of extraordinary preventive measures that are entering into force today. Face masks must now be worn even in classrooms. The measure applies to all pupils, students and teachers, with the exception of 1st grade classes. All restaurants and bars must be closed from midnight until six o'clock in the morning. The controversial and much debated regulation, which prohibits the organization of mass inside events, where more than 10 people are standing, also enters into force. Exhibitions or markets have an exception. Restaurants and bars cannot let more people inside than their seating capacity.
Singer Hana Zagorová recently convinced us that coronavirus doesn't shy away from anyone. She ended up in hospital due to high fevers. Singer Lucie Bílá also posted a statement on social networks saying that she had suffered from coronavirus. However, she claims to be fine, as she had a mild progression of the disease.
"At least I can share with you my experience. It's just a stupid flu you can survive. We just need to get used to it and take care of ourselves. But otherwise I wouldn't be afraid of it."
The best place for running a business? Prague 2!
According to a comparative research by the analytical agency Datank, the city district of Prague 2 is the best place for entrepreneurs in the metropolis. In comparison with 22 Prague city districts, Prague 2 ranked first, thus confirming its reputation of a transparent city district that is friendly to entrepreneurs and creates the best conditions for them. Prague 2 has actually been at the forefront of the research for eleven years. Last year, the town hall won the title City for Business of the Decade, expanding its collection of the City for Business titles, which it had received in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2017.
"Today's award is proof of the long-term stability of our city district and the high level of services provided. It is also a commitment that forces us to continue working on the development and continuous improvement of these services. Entrepreneurship support is gaining in importance this year, as many entrepreneurs have literally reached the bottom due to the pandemic and related government measures. Therefore, our city district adopted a number of support measures at the outset and set the conditions for their use. In the long run, I believe it was a step in the right direction. "
said the deputy mayor of Prague 2, Jan Korseska.
Barack Obama publishes his memoirs
Barack Obama's book will hit the market after the US presidential election in November. The former US president has confirmed on his Twitter account that a book called A Promised Land will be available from November 17.

said Barack Obama.
The 768-page book will be published in 25 languages and will be available in markets around the world. The price of the hardcover title will be $ 45, i.e. about 1,015 crowns. The digital version will cost a little under $ 18, i.e. about 406 crowns.
The era of Nintendo 3DS is coming to an end after almost ten years
Nintendo has confirmed that it has discontinued production of the successful 3DS gaming console after almost ten years. It was launched in 2011 and since then, 76 million pieces have been sold. The device was unique in that it had the ability to make the human eye see 3D images as they appear in some cinema projections, but without special glasses.
The 3DS followed on from the highly successful Nintendo DS, and six handheld consoles were built on this platform in nine years. The original 3DS, for example, was followed by the 3DS XL or a smaller 2DS model without a 3D display. By June 30, 2020, 384 million games had been sold, with Mario Kart being the most successful with 18.7 million sold copies. Other popular games include Pokémon X/Y or New Super Mario Bros 2 and Super Mario 3D Land with more than 10 million sold copies.
Lady Gaga's latest album cured her depression
Singer Lady Gaga joined the rank of celebrities who came to realize that fame and fortune are not a recipe for happiness. She has admitted that she sang herself out of the horrible depressions she'd been plagued by two years ago on her latest album Chromatica.
"My existence in and of itself was a threat to me,"
Gaga said, adding that during this difficult time, she had the darkest thoughts every day. We hope that the talented singer is doing much better today and will be able to continue making others happy through her work.
That's all from us today. We wish you a wonderful weekend and remember that one of the most important things in the world is to remain true to yourself. As the beloved Jan Werich said:
"Since you are already here, you should make sure to be. And when trying to be, you should be what you are rather then being what you are not, as is the case in many cases."
