Early Bird: The Olga Havel Foundation is helping. Armenia capitulated. Playstation 5 comes out the day after tomorrow
Non-governmental non-profit organizations can continue to operate thanks to the support provided by the Olga Havel Foundation. The Nagorno-Karabakh war, on the other hand, ended tonight. Meanwhile, gamers can't wait for the new PlayStation console to be released on Thursday...
The conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is over
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he had signed an "extremely painful agreement" with Azerbaijan and Russia that effectively ended the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. It happened just hours after Azerbaijani troops took control of the strategic city of Shusha.
"I have made a difficult, extremely difficult decision for myself and for all of us. I signed an agreement with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan to end the Karabakh War at 1:00,"
Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.
Following the publication of this statement, riots broke out in many places in Armenia. In Azerbaijan, on the other hand, people are celebrating. President Ilham Aliyev said in a speech that the agreement "will return our territories without any further bloodshed." Although the Nagorno-Karabakh region is located in Azerbaijan, it has long been inhabited and controlled by ethnic Armenians.
The Olga Havel Foundation supported other non-profit organizations
The Committee of Good Will - Olga Havel Foundation has already provided financial help for 59 projects during the coronavirus pandemic, contributing a total amount of more than 2.5 million crowns. The assistance fund supported non-profit organizations that provide social and health care for the elderly, the terminally ill or people at risk of social exclusion. The budgets of non-governmental non-profit organizations are very tight after the spring epidemic. The Administrative Board of the Olga Havel Foundation is aware of that and it keeps doing its best to help out. Thanks to the donated funds, it is possible to increase the number of employees on these projects, purchase disinfectants and protective aids, tests or fuel for field services.
The Czech Republic saw another drop of tourism in the third quarter
The year-on-year decline in overnight guests continued in Czech collective accommodation establishments throughout the summer. This happened despite the fact that measures in the fight against coronavirus had been eased in the Czech Republic and the government repeatedly appealed to the Czechs to spend their summer holidays in the Czech Republic. There was indeed an increase in overnight stays by resident tourists, but it didn’t compensate for the virtually nonexistent return of tourists from abroad.
"In the third quarter of this year, the number of guests in collective accommodation establishments decreased by 21% year-on-year and the number of overnight stays decreased by 17%. In five-star hotels, residents' stays doubled year-on-year, but all key source markets remained well below last year's figures,”
said Pavel Vančura, head of the CZSO's Department of Tourism Statistics and Services.
Wentworth Miller no longer wants to play heterosexual roles
Should the planned sixth season of the series Prison Break get a green light, its biggest star will be missing. Wentworth Miller wrote on his Instagram that he would not play the role of Michael Scofield again. The 48-year-old actor has been associated with this character since 2005, when the series premiered. Now, however, Wentworth claims that since he is gay, he no longer wishes to play heterosexual roles. He publicly revealed his orientation in 2013. Wentworth realizes that his decision will disappoint many fans of the series, who have been waiting for the sixth season for several years. At the moment, it is not certain whether FOX will go forward with the series without Miller.
Players are counting down the last hours to the release of PlayStation 5
Only two days are left until the moment gamers worldwide have been waiting for for many years. The "fifth edition" of the world's most popular gaming console - PlayStation - is about to hit the market. It comes out almost exactly seven years after the release of PlayStation 4. Sony thus maintained the seven-year gap, as the third console had been released in November 2006. As the upcoming release of the new console that can be pre-ordered in Czech e-shops from 13,490 CZK draws closer, Sony constantly shares new bits of information. One of the most important is the fact that the games on PS5 will be"region free", which means that you’ll be able to play games from all over the world without encountering any problems. As expected, PlayStation 5 will also support the Sony PlayStation Now gaming service, which means you can download and play most of the 4,000 PS4 games on the new console, and even some gaming gems from the PS3 and PS2. Go ahead and watch some of the planned PlayStation5 games in the breathtaking trailer at the end of the article.

Offices in Norway produce more energy than they consume
The construction and design company Snøhetta has completed the construction of the carbon-negative Powerhouse Telemark offices in Porsgrunn, Norway. The entire office complex has been carefully designed and thought through down to the smallest details with the goal of producing more energy than it consumes during its lifetime. The building is highly insulated and has a large photovoltaic roof on 2 sides, which generates 256,000 killowatts of energy each year. In 60 years, it will have produced enough energy to balance the carbon consumed by the offices during their operation, as well as during the construction or potential demolition. The building was developed in response to the climate crisis, with the aim of offering a sustainable model for the future of workspaces.
That's all for this morning. We wish you to spend this day in peace and with a smile on your face. Even the French writer Marcel Pagnol said:
