Karel Havlíček will negotiate with Zeman
Today, the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Minister of Transport, Karel Havlíček, will hold talks with President Zeman at the chateau in Lány. The negotiations will address the future and economic impacts of anti-epidemic measures.
“We will discuss the priorities for 2021 in both industry and transport. I will present what we want to achieve in the field of transport,"
explained Karel Havlíček. The economic impacts of the pandemic measures show that 231.5 billion crowns have been used from the state budget to combat the pandemic since last March.
The US is resuming negotiations with Iran on a nuclear agreement
The United States claimed it was ready to resume talks with Iran on reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement, reversing a decision by former President Donald Trump. The aim of the agreement was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Iran stated that the US must end the "economic terrorism" of the sanctions from the era of the former president of the United States. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken outlined President Joe Biden's position, namely that Washington would return to the agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan if Tehran fully complied with the agreement.
Detention center in Prague resumed its operation
After almost a year, the capital resumed the operation of the anti-alcohol detention center previously operated by the Bulovka University Hospital. The detention center had undergone a complete reconstruction, the aim of which was to modernize and increase bed capacity. During the reconstruction, a number of building modifications took place, such as the replacement of windows, doors or the laying of a new floor. The most fundamental change is an annex with an elevator, which will make it possible to transport clients to the rooms on the first floor on a gurney, or the modernization of the camera system. Another new addition is a communication device that allows the patient to contact the nurse directly from his room.
"We are aware that increasing the capacity of the anti-alcohol detention center will not solve the problem of people addicted to alcohol, and therefore we plan to link this workplace with social and addictology services. That will create an opportunity to lead people on the path to recovery,”
says Milena John, Councilor for Social Policy and Health. The fee for one night spent at a Prague detention station is three thousand crowns. The councilor believes that the new look of the detention center is the first step in the fight against alcoholism.

Now, the Dubai royal family has issued a statement, in which they claim to be taking care of Princess Latifa at home. At the same time, shey refute the videos in which they are being accused of keeping her imprisoned. The family insists that Latífa is perfectly fine and is recovering safely at home.
"In response to media reports regarding Sheikha Latifa, we want to thank those who have expressed concern for her wellbeing, despite the coverage which certainly is not reflective of the actual position,"
the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London mediated her family's statement. The daughter of the Dubai Crown Prince of the UAE, Latífa, tried to escape in 2018. The princess was caught and has been kept locked up ever since. This is not the first escape attempt by a princess of the Arab kingdom. Princesses often complain about the cruel treatment they have to suffer and life under the dictate of their family or husband.
