He came to Prague, to officially light up the Christmas tree at the shopping centre OC Chodov, and to also present a unique fund-raising projection of his film Love Actually. The Christmas comedy by director Richard Curtis is popular in many states and in Great Britain it is even broadcast before the Queen's Christmas message. But the actor himself does not watch the film. "During public holidays I prefer to watch football and on Christmas Day I don´t switch on television at all," said the actor who initially wasn´t supposed to get the role of Billy Mack.

"It was to be given to a more famous actor, but ultimately for some unknown reason they gave the role to me."

Told Bill, who for the role of the mad rocker won a film award of the British Academy for the best supporting male actor. The famous and unforgettable song called Christmas is All Around was sung by Nighy himself and in Britain it was also released as a single. The original authors is The Trooggs band and their same-named song appeared also in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral, performed by Wet Wet Wet.
