Spirit Hotel Thermal Spa uses its own thermal spring
South of Bratislava lies the Hungarian spa town of Sárvár, the origin point of the world famous thermal spring Bad Sárvár. We fell in love with the luxury Spirit hotel, one of the unique spa hotels that have their own thermal spring. It springs from a depth of 1,056 meters and provides water supply for the hotel pools. In total, there are 22 swimming pools, 9 saunas, a luxurious hamman spa, and you can also enjoy first-class beauty treatments. How would you like to have a private hot tub in your room? Saliris: A spa paradise near a unique European salt mountain
Saliris is a luxury hotel located in a large park about 6 km away from the spa town of Egerszalók in the north-west of Hungary in a stunning environment that's unique in Europe.
The 1900 m² water surface features 17 swimming pools, a sauna world and a fitness center. But even more interesting than what is hidden inside the hotel is what it is surrounded by!
The thermal spring rises on the southern side of the town and the limestone hill is formed by water runoff. Over the years, it has become a symbol of this area and is known as the "salt mountain". Such a formation is unparalled in Europe, similar ones can be found only in Pamukkale, Turkey and Yellowstone National Park, USA.
The thermal waters have been identified as medicinal in 1992. The water has a temperature of 65 - 68 °C and has been ranked among the best in the category of sulfur medicinal waters. It contains calcium, which has anti-inflammatory effects, and sulfur, which is an important part of the cartilage in our joints. The water has a beneficial effect on eczema, helps with skin problems, musculoskeletal disorders, gynecological problems and cardiovascular diseases.
