Weeks of men’s fashion are definitely behind us! This time we focused on the fashion week in Paris and we are bringing you a selection of collections that we consider highly original and funny, but in no way wearable. Is this really men’s fashion of the 21st century or is it just fun that is definitely not to be taken seriously? Form your own opinion, let’s go.

Pigalle Paris: collection inspired by Star Wars

The brand Pigalle Paris introduced their new collection with the name Craft Studio that reminds us of Star Wars. There are loose bell pants, turtlenecks, baggy coats and asymmetrical jackets. And all in playful shades of turquoise, purple, pink or metallic. In addition to the quilted fabric, you will also find latex or leather. Could work great as a costume!

Ludovic de Saint Sernin shocked with feminine style

Ludovic de Saint Sernin introduced outfits tailored for men, but inspired by women’s fashion world. Yes, that had happened in the 90s already, but what will you say about this: one-shoulder tops, a crop-top with shorts, a luxurious pleated backless top and leather briefs? We say “Thank you, leave.”

Fuchsia and neon glow from the Kenzo brand

The models of the Kenzo FW 19/20 collection are carried in a sporty spirit that would be ideal for a mountain hike. That would be alright, but for a man to wear floral patterns in fuchsia and neon pink? That isn’t that alright in our opinion.

Martine Rose: retro party collections

In the collection FW 19/20 Martin Rose, you can expect approximately this: high-waisted carrot-fit jeans and a belt with a buckle, T-shirts tucked in pants, short embellished jean jackets or longer jackets in shiny leather. The only occasion for these outfits would be a party in the 70s or 80s style.

Thom Browne and his feminine ice kingdom

We just found ourselves in the movie Chronicles of Narnia, where the ice queen had the outfit and make-up in a style similar to the men on the Thom Browne show. Long dresses and coats with women's silhouette look at least strange on men.

Every spectacular fashion event always has to have some fiasco…

…which few want to be a witness of. Some time ago I was told by the stylist Filip Vaněk: “The fashion faux pas expert here is Míša Nosková, she never disappoints:” Well, Filip, they didn’t disappoint in Paris either! For me, Thom Browne has an absolutely incomprehensible sense of fashion. He confidently wins the title “the biggest atrocities of the fashion week“. I was especially shocked by a grey mens’s coat with fur sleeves and a bottom hem. It all looks as if the guy raided the closet of Babiš family. This piece looks suspiciously a lot like the coat that Monika Babišová wore to Vienna in November (that was a coat by Fendi brand).

Finally, we have a PINK collection from KENZO brand. Here again it seems as if someone has been awfully fond of the Barbie doll. But even though my favorite childhood toy was the obvious inspiration, Takao Kenzo has not won me over! Let them enjoy these crazy things in Japan next time.
